According to Apple Hub, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus still keep the same screen size at 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, the refresh rate is still 60Hz like the old version. The standard model duo is also only equipped with an aluminum frame, not upgraded to a titanium frame like the Pro versions.
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus duo will be equipped with Apple's new generation A18 chip, instead of reusing the old generation A17 chip. However, the A18 chip will be customized with a lower clock speed to have reduced performance compared to the A18 Pro chip equipped on the Pro versions, to differentiate the product.
Apple Hub said the standard model will still be equipped with 2 cameras on the back, but with the addition of 2x optical zoom. Notably, the iPhone 16 will have an increased battery capacity of 3,349mAh, while the iPhone 16 Plus has a battery capacity of 4,006mAh, lower than the 4,383mAh battery equipped on the iPhone 15 Plus.
In terms of price, Apple still keeps the selling price of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus duo the same as the old version, starting at $799 and $899 respectively. The duo still retains the same memory options of 128/256/512GB.
iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max duo
While the standard model gets a tweaked design, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max duo appear to have no changes in external design, but will increase the screen size.
Accordingly, the iPhone 16 Pro version will have its screen size increased from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches. The iPhone 16 Pro Max version will also have its screen size increased from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches.
The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max duo are still equipped with a titanium frame and the latest generation A18 Pro chip developed by Apple. Although Apple Hub did not announce information about RAM on the Pro model, previously leaked information said that these two products will be the first iPhones to own up to 12GB of RAM.
The back of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max duo is still a cluster of 3 cameras, in which the ultra-wide-angle camera has been upgraded to 48 megapixels, instead of 12 megapixels on the iPhone 15 Pro, and the telephoto camera on the product still supports 5x optical zoom.
In terms of battery capacity, the "Apple" also made some upgrades on its two Pro versions. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro Max version still retains the starting price of $ 1,199 with the same memory options as the iPhone 16 Pro.
