In the long term, due to the current and future international railway system connecting traffic with most major seaports and countries in the region, between China and countries in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, South Asia, West Asia, the Middle East, the Far East... opening up the possibility of bringing Luc Ngan litchi products deep into the large domestic market of China and other countries.

According to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), it is estimated that the export value of Vietnam's fruits and vegetables in May 2023 reached 600 million USD, an increase of 53.3% compared to April 2023 and an increase of 137.7% compared to May 2022. In the first 5 months of 2023, the export value of fruits and vegetables is estimated at 1.97 billion USD, an increase of 39% over the same period in 2022.
While many agricultural products show signs of declining exports, the fruit and vegetable industry alone continues to record positive export growth. Most types of exported fruits and vegetables recorded good growth rates in the first 5 months of 2023.
Of which, durian has the strongest growth, followed by dragon fruit, banana, mango, jackfruit... In addition, there are watermelon and lychee. In terms of market structure, China is still the number 1 import market, accounting for nearly 59% of the market share, second is the United States, followed by Korea, Japan, the Netherlands, Thailand, Taiwan...
Notably, after Vietnam and China signed the Protocol on official durian export, durian exports to the Chinese market have been boosted.
Mr. Dang Phuc Nguyen - General Secretary of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association - assessed that expanding the shipping channel by sea and rail will help reduce congestion at border gates when agricultural products and fruits are in season. With the current growth in fruit and vegetable exports, it is forecasted that in 2023, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export turnover will increase by 20 - 30% compared to 2022.
Experts assess that the official export of Dong Nai durian, Thanh Hoa seedless lychee or the opening of a new transport channel for Bac Giang lychee has opened an important turning point for agricultural products of provinces and cities. Diversifying markets, innovating consumption methods, and diversifying transportation methods help Vietnamese agricultural products confidently export abroad, contributing to the transformation of the agricultural economic structure, bringing benefits to farmers.
