Specifically, in the match with Narayanan, Quang Liem showed his sophistication and sharp tactics when attacking directly, sacrificing his queen to checkmate his opponent with his rook on the 40th move, creating an impressive victory.

Nakamura, the tournament’s highest-rated player, finished second with 9.5 points (8 wins, 3 draws), including a draw with Quang Liem in the ninth game. Both players remained undefeated throughout the 11 games. However, Magnus Carlsen – the world’s number one player – unexpectedly withdrew after winning all 5 games for unknown reasons.

With this victory, Le Quang Liem has increased his total number of Titled Tuesday championships to six, including two in 2025. Previously, on February 4, Le Quang Liem also won the championship with a perfect record of 11 wins. In addition to the $1,000 prize money, Quang Liem also rose to fourth place on the Titled Tuesday Grand Prix rankings with 91 points.
