According to a special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, at around 6:30 p.m. on September 26 local time, the official welcoming ceremony for General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation on a state visit to the Republic of Cuba, took place solemnly at the Revolution Palace in the capital city of Havana.
First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermudez presided over the welcoming ceremony.

In a fraternal atmosphere, First Secretary and President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermudez welcomed General Secretary and President To Lam at the main hall of the Revolution Palace. The two leaders entered the positions of honor and the military band played the national anthems of both countries.

The solidarity and brotherhood between Vietnam and Cuba was founded by President Ho Chi Minh and President Fidel Castro and has been growing ever since. During the years when the Vietnamese people waged the resistance war for national liberation in the 1960s and 1970s, Cuba was always a symbol and a leader in the world people's movement to unite in support of Vietnam's just struggle, giving Vietnam valuable and effective support and assistance.
