Clip: Container truck driver with license plate 15C-03526 crashes into traffic police car
On the evening of December 29, Hai Phong City Police informed about the case of a container truck driver entering a prohibited road and resisting law enforcement officers.
Specifically, at around 3:30 p.m. yesterday (December 28), Nguyen Van Tu (born in 1983, residing in Dai Ban commune, An Duong district) was driving a container truck with license plate 15C-03526, pulling a semi-trailer 15R - 010.98 on Highway 351 from Re bridge to Den bridge in Dang Cuong commune when he was signaled by traffic police to stop the vehicle for entering a prohibited road.
Tu did not comply and accelerated to escape. The task force chased him to Minh Khai market, Dong Thai commune, An Duong, and blocked the front of the car, but Tu did not stop and continued to accelerate, hitting the back of the traffic police's specialized motorbike.
After that, Tu got out of the car and ran away, but the traffic police force combined with the people to chase and arrest him. The traffic police's motorbike was damaged.
Through testing, the driver had no alcohol concentration and did not use drugs but tested positive for Covid-19.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of An Duong District Police has decided to temporarily detain Nguyen Van Tu to investigate and clarify according to the provisions of law.
