In 2023, the Nghe An Association in Hanoi called for, gathered, and connected many Nghe An people living far from home, not only in Hanoi but also in neighboring provinces, thereby organizing many exchange, sharing, and helping activities among members: Visiting the sick, paying respect to the deceased, honoring the successful, creating a common home of warm compatriot love in Hanoi.
The Association has organized activities and events that have left an impression not only in the Nghe community living far from home but also spread throughout the country, most notably the music night "The source of Vi, Giam" honoring 5 talented musicians of Nghe An; connecting and organizing effective activities towards the homeland such as: Meeting with key retired leaders in Vinh City; Program to bring good books, give library cards, computers to schools in the province such as: Yen Thanh 2 High School, Nghi Loc 5, Thanh Chuong 3, Ethnic Boarding School No. 2, Nghi Lien Secondary School - Vinh City...
The Association has directly returned to the homeland to talk and impart experiences to the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees; inspired the team of cadres and the younger generation; especially mobilized and registered to support more than 650 houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties, equivalent to 33.3 billion VND under the Program to mobilize support and help the poor and people with housing difficulties in the province in the period of 2023 - 2025.
Expressing his joy at attending the meeting, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people in his hometown, sent respectful greetings, warm regards and best wishes to the distinguished guests and fellow countrymen in Hanoi.
“It can be said that the homeland is always sacred to every Vietnamese person, and for Nghe An people living far away from home, I think that feeling is even deeper, more affectionate and passionate,” the head of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee shared.
Although working, doing business and living far from home, generations of Nghe An people always turn to their homeland. And the fame and success of Nghe An people living far from home is always a source of pride, a spiritual support, a valuable asset and a great source of strength for the province and the people in their homeland.
“I think that the most effective connection between the home province, the people in the home province and the people far from home is the Association of Fellow Countrymen,” the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized and highly appreciated the enthusiasm, responsibility, methodical and scientific spirit in organizing the activities of the Association, all for the homeland, for the community of Nghe An people far from home.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Secretary informed about the socio-economic situation of the province in 2023 with many bright spots in the fields of socio-economy, culture, education, health, new rural construction, and administrative reform.
The province has completed many important political tasks, especially the Summary of 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 26 and the Politburo issued Resolution No. 39 dated July 18, 2023 on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045. The Standing Secretariat has organized the dissemination. The Provincial Party Committee and the Government have issued an action program for implementation. The Prime Minister has approved the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
Regarding the tasks of 2024, the province identified it as the year to accelerate the completion of the tasks set out in the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025. Accordingly, Nghe An has set out 28 main targets.
Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy said that this year, the province will focus on implementing Resolution No. 39 of the Politburo, in which the top priority is to submit to the National Assembly a resolution on specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province, to go along with the Party's policies and mechanisms of the National Assembly and the Government, helping the province have more motivation and resources for development.
Along with that, we will focus on building and promptly implementing the announced Provincial Planning; focus on completing and submitting to competent authorities for approval 3 important projects: Project to expand administrative boundaries and urban space of Vinh City; Project to adjust and expand the Southeast Economic Zone; Project to arrange commune-level administrative units for the period 2023-2025.
The province continues to accelerate the implementation of two strategic transport infrastructure projects: Cua Lo deep-water port and upgrading and expanding Vinh international airport, completing many other key projects...
Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy also said: The province will continue to focus on taking care of national defense, security, culture - society, especially education, training, health care, science; well implementing social security policies, taking care of poor households to both develop the economy and ensure the improvement of people's material and spiritual life; ensuring a peaceful, stable and tranquil environment for economic development.
Along with that, Nghe An will focus on administrative reform to create the best environment to attract effective investment, striving to continue to be in the top 10 provinces and cities attracting the most foreign direct investment capital in the country.
“To complete the assigned tasks, in addition to the efforts and struggles of the Party Committee and the people in the homeland, we hope to continue to receive the attention, support, companionship, sharing and help of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi to help the province develop faster and stronger in the coming time,” said the Provincial Party Secretary.
At the same time, he expressed his belief that with its extensive experience and operational experience, the Nghe An Association in Hanoi will continue to have new developments, continue to be a place of solidarity, gathering a large number of children living, working, studying in the capital Hanoi, always being a warm home of fellow countrymen; continue to organize many practical activities towards the homeland, sharing with the homeland.

Entering the new year, the Provincial Party Secretary wished delegates and people living far from home in the capital Hanoi peace, prosperity, and many new victories in the new year.
TRUST IN BRINGING NGHE AN PROVINCE TO A NEW DEVELOPMENT STAGE
On behalf of the Hanoi Association, comrade Le Doan Hop - Chairman of the Association congratulated the very convincing results that Nghe An homeland has achieved in 2023. Among the many achievements, he highly appreciated 5 things that Nghe An province has done.
Firstly, make efforts to submit to the Central Government for approval the provincial planning until 2030, with a vision to 2045 - this is Nghe An's development strategy in the coming time.
Second, budget revenue results, especially domestic revenue.
Third, in 2023, Nghe An's economy will develop in association with four very correct foundations: culture, environment, education and application of information technology achievements in management and leadership.

Fourth, synchronous development associated with attracting investment to the top of the country.
Fifth is the spirit of solidarity, effort and determination to bring Nghe An into a period of higher development.
Comrade Le Doan Hop also emphasized that he felt convinced when hearing the development goals that Nghe An province set out in the coming time, especially the goal of expanding urban space associated with industrial development; developing synchronous infrastructure - the foundation of all development.
Entering 2024, on behalf of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi, comrade Le Doan Hop wished the province continued solidarity and determination to bring the province to a higher stage of development.
At the program, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy and Chairman of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi presented flowers and gifts to congratulate Lieutenant General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Nguyen Quoc Thuoc, who was honored by the Hanoi People's Committee as an "Outstanding Citizen of the Capital" in 2022 and by the Ministry of Justice as a "Glorious Example of Law" in 2023.
The Nghe An Association in Hanoi congratulated the artists from Nghe An who had just been awarded the title of People's Artist by the State and had just been admitted to the Vietnam Writers' Association; presented letters of commendation and gifts to 20 students from Nghe An with excellent academic achievements and Nguyen Khac Hung, an autistic child who had just been honored as "Guinness World Record Holder" in June 2023; and expressed gratitude to the sponsors who have made many contributions to the province and to the Nghe An Association in Hanoi.
