Ho Chi Minh City has launched the first "Sleepless Saigon" experience tour by double-decker bus, serving visitors overnight.
The "Sleepless Saigon" tour started on December 21, operating from 11pm to 7am the next day. The tour departs at 96 Nguyen Hue Street, District 1, passing through 30 routes, nearly 20 tourist attractions, architectural sites, culinary neighborhoods and bustling night-time centers of the city such as Bui Vien Street, Nguyen Hue Street, Ben Thanh Market, Notre Dame Cathedral.
The city tour has the same starting and ending points. Visitors can easily choose the main stops to get on or off such as the Central Post Office, 96 Nguyen Hue, 187 Pham Ngu Lao or Ben Thanh Market...

The night tour lasts from 70 to 75 minutes, with 30-minute intervals between each trip and is explained in 9 languages. Ticket prices range from 150,000 VND to 500,000 VND per person, depending on the time slot.
The main sightseeing spots that the night tour passes through include Nguyen Hue walking street, the City People's Committee building, the Independence Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Ba Son bridge, Landmark 81 tower, Bui Vien - Pham Ngu Lao Western Street area or Ben Thanh market.
According to Mr. Nguyen Khoa Luan, Director of Anh Viet Hop on Hop off Vietnam Company, the service provider, Ho Chi Minh City is "a rare land in the world that converges many factors for night-time economic development". The use of double-decker buses helps exploit the city's night-time economy, creating connections between service supply chains, thereby promoting tourism development and service consumption.
In addition, increasing the frequency and service time of double-decker buses can enhance competition with countries in the region to attract international tourists to Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam, contributing to increasing foreign currency revenue for the city.
In addition to the tourist route around the city center, Anh Viet Hop on Hop off Vietnam Company is applying for permission to open a second route connecting from the city center to Cho Lon - District 6. The main routes the bus will pass through are Tran Hung Dao, Hai Thuong Lan Ong Southeast Medicine Quarter, Chau Van Liem, District 5 Post Office roundabout, decoration sales area, Binh Tay market, Ong - Ba pagoda, Nguyen Tri Phuong, An Dong Market.
Hop on Hop off is a famous tourist bus service in many countries around the world, starting to operate in Ho Chi Minh City since 2015 from 8:00 to 22:30. With the addition of "Sleepless in Saigon", visitors can experience the world's first city tour serving visitors 24/7 by double-decker bus.
