In recent times, Hai Duong City has been mobilizing many resources to beautify the urban area. Many roads and streets have been renovated, upgraded and expanded. Public entertainment spaces and cultural houses in residential areas have been invested in, expanded and completed.

The city has gradually created more spaces for entertainment, cultural activities and recreation for people by putting the walking street, Bach Dang night market and Tue Tinh culinary street into operation.

Urban beautification work in the city has recently been focused on and implemented simultaneously, promoting practical efficiency. Along with 10 urban beautification projects using the city budget, wards and communes of Hai Duong city have also implemented more than 60 other projects. Up to now, more than 60 urban beautification projects have been completed and put into use, such as: Renovation of the green tree and lighting system, drainage system, blocks, and sidewalks on Nguyen Luong Bang street; construction of the lighting system on Hoang Ngan street (from Tay Phu Luong overpass to Hoang Long intersection); renovation of the green tree, block, and sidewalk system on Ngo Quyen street; renovation of the lighting system on some routes in Hai Duong city...

In addition to the budget resources, the city and its wards and communes have effectively promoted the spirit of the State, people and businesses working together, joining hands to build and beautify the city. Many urban beautification works from socialized resources have been completed and put into use to help make the city more beautiful, such as: People paved sidewalks and renovated telecommunication cables, cleared wires hanging on electric poles and buried telecommunication cables on some streets.

Many businesses and units in the city have also proactively renovated their headquarters, repaired and installed decorative lighting in their premises... The city's functional agencies have coordinated with telecommunications and electricity units to bury power lines and telecommunications cables underground.

On October 12 and 13, the authorities and people of wards and communes in Hai Duong City launched a campaign to clean up the environment, collect garbage, dredge canals... After being renovated, the streets and alleys were "cleared of garbage", combined with planting trees, bringing an increasingly bright, green, clean, beautiful and civilized urban appearance.
