In recent times, tourism development in Gia Vien district has received attention from the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Tourism, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the People's Council, the District People's Committee and local authorities. Tourism activities in the area have developed strongly, achieving many positive results.
In the first 6 months of the year, the whole district welcomed about 1.6 million visitors, tourism revenue reached 1,429 billion VND, an increase of 15% over the same period last year. The district People's Committee has directed to strengthen State management of tourism and services in the area; encourage tourism service businesses to regularly invest and innovate products... Notable activities are tourism development and exploitation in 3 routes and tours "Following the footsteps of King Dinh Tien Hoang", "Finding the origin of Saint Nguyen" and "Green Van Long".
At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing the potentials, advantages, advantages, and difficulties of Gia Vien district; at the same time, proposing solutions to exploit and develop the "smokeless industry" such as: planning, infrastructure construction, management, tour route development, development of culinary services, restaurants, hotels, etc.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Song Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, said: In recent times, Ninh Binh tourism has developed strongly; the number of visitors and tourism revenue has increased; service quality has been increasingly improved. The above results continue to affirm the correct and appropriate steps that the province has identified, which is to develop tourism as a key economic sector, focusing on exploiting cultural industries.
He also acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and results that Gia Vien district has achieved in recent times, especially the positive changes in the tourism development mindset of the government and people in the district. The district has been creative, proactive, and focused on many solutions for tourism development, notably effectively exploiting products with high cultural and historical content. Infrastructure has been invested, the natural landscape is fresh, green-clean-beautiful.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: As a locality with a lot of room for tourism development, attracting the attention and research of investors, in the coming time, Gia Vien district needs to continue to promote its strengths, natural resources, and unique culture to build unique and impressive tourism products and OCOP products. At the same time, create favorable conditions, prioritize, and attract businesses and investors to the tourism sector; do a good job of planning, site clearance, infrastructure construction, ensuring environmental sanitation, etc.
He suggested that departments, branches and sectors continue to pay attention to speeding up the progress of projects in the district, supporting the training of high-quality tourism human resources. Based on the proposals of the District People's Committee and delegates, the province will study, consider, and jointly remove difficulties, striving to develop Gia Vien tourism more and more, becoming a safe, friendly and attractive destination for domestic and international tourists.
Previously, the delegation surveyed several locations on the Kenh Ga-Van Trinh route, Da Han area and Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve.
