The consortium of Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Corporation (VINACONEX) – ATAD Steel Structure Corporation – REE Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Services Corporation – Thang Long Bridge 7 Corporation is the contractor for the T2 passenger terminal project at Phu Bai International Airport with a construction value of over VND 1,545 billion. The implementation time is 510 days. In which, the leading consortium is the contractor VINACONEX, undertaking over 48% of the work volume.
Representing the contractors, Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VINACONEX Corporation, said that right from the start of construction, the project received attention and direction from the leaders of the Party, the Government, the Ministry of Transport, the investor, as well as the participation and support of the government and people of Thua Thien Hue province in removing difficulties in mechanisms, policies, and capital sources, creating conditions for contractors to complete assigned tasks.
The project implementation process also encountered many difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic, unusual weather conditions, scarcity and price increase of some materials, and out-of-production of material models. VINACONEX and contractors have developed detailed construction plans for each week, month, and quarter, concentrating all resources, making the most of favorable weather conditions to compensate for delays caused by objective factors; applying the most advanced construction technologies and solutions, mobilizing hundreds of types of modern machinery and equipment along with thousands of highly qualified engineers and technical workers to ensure the construction requirements of "3 shifts, 4 teams" regardless of day or night. These efforts have contributed to bringing the project to the finish line on schedule, ensuring construction quality, aesthetics and absolute labor safety.
