The project, coordinated by saigonchildren under the "Building schools and learning environments" program, provides a safer and more comfortable learning environment for nearly 100 students each school year. With funding from BASF and its partners, this is the 7th school renovation project that BASF and saigonchildren have implemented in Vietnam.
About 130 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Hieu Tu C Primary School is located in a remote area of Tra Vinh province, with many ethnic minority communities, including the Khmer. The school has one main campus and three satellite campuses.
This project is being implemented at the O Trao satellite site, which was built in 2009 and is currently in a dilapidated condition, not ensuring safety and hygiene. The O Trao school has 162 students, of which 159 are children of ethnic minority families, whose main income comes from farming or small business.

Today, when inaugurating this school, we are not only building classrooms, but also building dreams, opportunities, and hopes for a bright tomorrow".
It is known that the new facility will be equipped with European-standard Proxy sandwich panel insulated roofing panels sponsored by Phuong Nam Panel Company and decorated with Green certified paint products supported by Nippon Paint Vietnam Company. In addition, the project also receives financial support from other co-sponsors.
