On the morning of March 6, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan inspected and directed the removal of difficulties and obstacles of two key traffic projects: the An Duong - Thanh Nien intersection overpass construction project and the Xuan Dieu road upgrade and renovation project.
Reporting to the Inspection Team, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board Pham Van Duan said that to speed up the project's progress, the Board had a meeting to agree on the implementation plan. Contractors arranged for simultaneous construction; at the same time, organized many teams to shorten the construction time of the reinforced concrete dike retaining wall, striving to complete before June 30.
However, the construction unit is still facing some difficulties affecting the project progress, especially the construction of the 110KV Tay Ho - Yen Phu underground cable project invested by Hanoi Electricity Corporation.
At the project to upgrade Xuan Dieu Street, Quang An Ward, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khuyen - Chairman of Tay Ho District People's Committee said: "Currently, the project construction work has been basically completed and the technical route has been opened. The district is directing contractors to urgently complete the smooth pavement, paint the road surface, plant trees, and traffic signs on the route from 51 Xuan Dieu to Nghi Tam.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khuyen, there are still 11 cases of land acquisition that have not been handed over. Tay Ho District People's Committee is actively mobilizing households to hand over land. In case of failure, a plan will be developed for enforcement. The expected time for land acquisition enforcement is before July 2024.
At the inspection, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan highly appreciated the efforts of the investors and contractors.
Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan emphasized: "These are all important projects to synchronize infrastructure, reduce traffic congestion, serve people's convenient and safe travel, and are the foundation for socio-economic development. However, there are still many reasons why the projects have not achieved the expected progress."
Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan requested relevant departments, agencies and sectors to coordinate closely and regularly exchange information to promote the progress of the two projects of An Duong - Thanh Nien intersection overpass construction and upgrading and renovating Xuan Dieu Street. If any difficulties arise, they must be reported immediately for timely solutions.
Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan requested that in the coming time, investors and contractors must make more efforts, focus on mobilizing machinery and construction workers, overcome difficulties and obstacles to promptly complete key traffic projects as soon as possible.
