Resuming operations at 4 Central Region airports from the afternoon of October 27

Specifically, Da Nang International Airport will resume operations from 4:00 p.m. on October 27; Phu Bai International Airport will resume operations from 4:00 p.m. on October 27; Chu Lai Airport will resume operations from 1:00 p.m. on October 27; and Dong Hoi Airport will resume operations from 5:00 p.m. on October 27.

Previously, on October 26, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam sent a document to the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation, Da Nang International Airport, Phu Bai Airport, Dong Hoi Airport, Chu Lai Airport, Northern and Central Airports Authority regarding the temporary suspension of receiving and operating aircraft due to the impact of storm Trami.

Accordingly, based on the meteorological forecast at 10:00 a.m. on October 26 from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting and the Aviation Meteorological Center on the impact of storm Trami (storm No. 6), the storm is likely to directly affect and threaten the safety of operations at a number of airports.

To ensure safety at airports, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has decided to temporarily suspend receiving and operating aircraft at Phu Bai International Airport from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on October 27.

At Da Nang International Airport, stop receiving and operating from 6:00 a.m. on October 27 to 4:00 a.m. on October 28.

Dong Hoi Airport will implement the above request from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on October 27 and Chu Lai Airport from 10:00 a.m. on October 27 to 10:00 a.m. on October 28.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to be responsible for announcing appropriate aviation information according to current regulations and operating flights to ensure absolute safety.

For the Northern and Central Airports Authorities, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires the airport authorities to be responsible for inspecting and supervising the safety of operations at airports according to regulations.
