Robocon Vietnam is an engineering technology innovation competition for students with a history of more than 20 years of competition (first held in 2002).
The competition creates an environment to practice and test students' knowledge of mechanical design, control programming, electricity, electronics... and many other skills.
The theme of the 2023 competition is “Exploring the Ancient Temple”, inspired by traditional Cambodian dances and folk games.
Teams will control 2 robots together to throw rings of the same color as their team's shirt into 11 columns on the arena floor modeled after the Angkor Wat temple area.
The team with the top ring wins the column point; the team with the most points wins.

To be present at the final round of Robocon Vietnam 2023 held in Nam Dinh, 67 teams from 19 universities, colleges, and vocational high schools across the country went through intense and dramatic qualifying rounds.
The results selected 32 best teams to compete in the national finals.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Le Doai, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Dinh province, assessed that the Vietnam Robocon contest is an intellectual and creative playground, an opportunity for young people to approach and prepare for the 4th technological revolution.
This is an opportunity for students, pupils and science lovers in Nam Dinh province to exchange, study and improve their knowledge, as well as promote creativity in research, study and production; it is also an opportunity to introduce the potential and strengths of culture, society, science and technology and tourism of the province.

Nam Dinh province has 5 teams representing the University of Economics and Industrial Technology participating in the final round.
Here, 32 teams were drawn into 8 groups, each group of 4 teams, competing in a round robin to select the 2 teams with the highest results to enter the round of 16.
The 16 teams that make it to the round of 16 will compete in a knockout round to determine the teams that will advance to the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the Vietnam Robocon playground immediately became exciting with the matches of the teams in groups A and B.
After the competitions from May 23 to May 28, the winning team will represent the country at the ABU Robocon 2023 international competition taking place in August 2023 in Cambodia.
