Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Mr. Nguyen Dac Thuy, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho, emphasized: Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc provinces are ancient lands, where many indigenous cultural values originated and were preserved from the Hung Kings' period of founding the country and the formation of the Red River civilization that are still preserved today. Those indigenous cultural values are clearly expressed through tangible and intangible cultural values. Among them, there are collections of artifacts excavated in archaeological sites from the Paleolithic period to the sites of the Pre-Hung Kings' period and the successive Hung Kings' period of continuous development of the Red River civilization such as: Phung Nguyen, Dong Dau, Go Mun, Dong Son. Those important vestiges are the most specific and clear evidence for the process of formation and construction of the first state of the Vietnamese people - the Van Lang state.
In this joint exhibition, the Hung Vuong Museum of Phu Tho province and the Vinh Phuc Provincial Museum - Library have selected more than 300 unique, typical and characteristic artifacts from different cultural periods of the ancient Vietnamese people and some valuable documentary images throughout history to give visitors a relatively panoramic picture of the dawn of Vietnamese history.
The artifacts are arranged and displayed according to two themes: Cultural heritage of the Hung King era in Phu Tho province and archaeological vestiges of the Prehistoric period in Vinh Phuc province. With collections of artifacts that are very rich in types and materials such as stone, pottery, bone, bronze, there are collections of: weapons, household and production utensils, jewelry, etc. Through that, we can see more clearly the brilliant development period of the Red River civilization. In addition, the exhibition content of " Hung King worship" and " Phu Tho Xoan singing " are two representative intangible heritages of humanity, also displayed to serve the needs of the public to learn and research.
Also on this occasion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a pilot screening of the documentary Hung Vuong Era; the film was produced with full HD technology, using 3D effects to serve visitors at the Hung Vuong Museum. This is a new way of conveying the history and traditions of the Vietnamese nation and people, thereby helping the people and domestic and foreign tourists have a more vivid new approach to Vietnamese culture; at the same time, enriching the series of activities of the Culture - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in 2025.
