iFixit recently recognized the Galaxy S25 Ultra as the "most repairable Galaxy phone in years" thanks to its user-friendly design. Specifically, the Galaxy S25 Ultra uses 4 small bars to hold the battery in place, which allows users to easily remove the battery by simply pulling up on these bars.

This method is much simpler than removing the iPhone's battery. iFixit suggests that this change is largely due to Right to Repair laws in Europe, rather than Samsung's desire to make it easier for consumers to repair their phones.
There are still limitations on the Galaxy S25 Ultra
However, iFixit believes that Samsung still has a lot of room for improvement to make the Galaxy phones as repairable as expected. Accordingly, every contact point on the phone, from the front to the back, requires additional glue during the repair process, which can be difficult for users.
In addition to the easy battery removal, iFixit also appreciates another advantage of the Galaxy S25 Ultra: the modular camera design, which makes it easier to open the camera housing and replace internal components. Users can choose third-party replacement parts instead of just using genuine Samsung parts.
In terms of repairability score, iFixit gave the Galaxy S25 Ultra a 5/10, higher than previous generations but still lower than the 7/10 of the iPhone 16 Pro Max and the 9/10 of the HMD Skyline.
