On January 16, speaking with VietNamNet reporters, the leader of Thach Ha District Party Committee (Ha Tinh) said that up to now, 46 civil servants and public employees have applied for early retirement. Of these, 35 are in the government sector and 11 are in the district Party Committee. Those who have applied for early retirement still have 5-10 years of work left.

"Among them, there is a department head who still has about 7 years of work left but still applied for early retirement to give opportunities to young people to contribute," said the leader of Thach Ha District Party Committee.

According to the leader of Thach Ha District Party Committee, after the policy of merging Loc Ha district into Thach Ha district, the unit encountered many difficulties in arranging redundant staff.

"The most difficult thing is to arrange department heads and deputy department heads. Currently, there are 21 department heads. After the arrangement, there will have to be 9 department heads. The remaining heads must be arranged to deputy heads," informed the leader of Thach Ha District Party Committee.

To create consensus among staff and facilitate the work of streamlining the apparatus, Thach Ha district has done ideological work and encouraged staff to retire early.

"We have established a team to review civil servants and public employees with less than 10 years of service. These people are eligible for early retirement. After reviewing, we will calculate the specific amount of money for each person. Then, we will invite each official to come up to campaign and grasp their thoughts and aspirations.

Up to now, 46 people have applied for early retirement to make room for young people to contribute. This is a good sign. It is expected that the number of people applying for early retirement will continue to increase," added the leader of Thach Ha District Party Committee.

Implementing the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period of Ha Tinh province, from January 1, 2025, 11 communes and towns of Loc Ha district will be merged into Thach Ha district (Loc Ha district no longer exists).

According to the leader of Thach Ha District Party Committee, after the policy of merging Loc Ha district into Thach Ha district, the whole district has about 60 redundant civil servants, not including public employees. Of these, about 39 civil servants belong to the government sector, the rest belong to party agencies and mass organizations.
