At Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC), the price of gold bars was listed at VND88.3-91.3 million/tael (selling), an increase of VND600,000/tael in both buying and selling prices compared to the closing price of yesterday's trading session. The difference between buying and selling prices was VND3 million.
Similarly, the price of 9999 gold today was listed by DOJI and Bao Tin Minh Chau at 88.3-91.3 million VND/tael (selling), an increase of 600,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to the end of yesterday's trading session.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at VND88.7-90.2 million/tael for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the gold price remained the same for buying and increased by VND200,000/tael for selling compared to yesterday.
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Manh Hai Company Limited was traded by the enterprise at 84.4-86.4 million VND/tael (buying - selling), down 400,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday.

World gold price today February 15, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4am today, Vietnam time, was 2,893.67 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 0.77% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,598 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 89.3 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is about 2 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices fell more than 1% on profit-taking, although they were still on track for a seventh straight weekly gain, on concerns about a global trade war after U.S. President Donald Trump pushed for tit-for-tat tariffs.
Spot gold fell 1.2% to $2,892.59 an ounce as of 11:35 a.m. ET (1635 GMT), but was still on track for a weekly gain of more than 1%. Bullion hit a record high of $2,942.70 on Tuesday.
US gold futures fell 1.3% to $2,908.10.
“There are a number of technical factors at play; the failure to hit the all-time high on Tuesday could create a double top and we see some profit taking ahead of the weekend,” said Peter Grant, vice president and senior metals strategist at Zaner Metals.
Alex Ebkarian, chief executive officer at Allegiance Gold, said there is still a bullish trend in gold prices due to a number of factors such as tariffs, underlying inflation and a weaker US dollar, with the growing shift from paper gold to physical gold further fueling the trend.
On Thursday, Trump directed his economic team to draw up plans to impose reciprocal tariffs on any country that imposes tariffs on U.S. imports. The potentially inflationary move could boost safe-haven demand for gold, a traditional hedge against rising prices and geopolitical uncertainty.
Meanwhile, US retail sales fell the most in nearly two years in January, pointing to a sharp slowdown in economic growth early in the first quarter.
However, traders expect the Federal Reserve to hold off on cutting interest rates until September due to concerns about high inflation. The drop in jobless claims signals continued recovery in the labor market.
Among other precious metals, spot silver rose 0.3% to $32.44 an ounce, hitting its highest since Oct. 31, 2024, in early trading.
“We’re actually seeing demand for silver increase year-over-year and supply is decreasing,” Ebkarian said, adding that the slight rise in gold prices has fueled demand for more affordable silver among retail investors.
Platinum lost 1.1% to $984.74, while palladium fell 2% to $974.50.
All three metals are on track to gain ground this week.
