At the Government Standing Committee meeting with businesses on tasks and solutions for private enterprises to accelerate, make breakthroughs, and contribute to the country's rapid and sustainable development in the new era, Mr. Do Quang Hien - Executive Chairman of T&T Group said that on February 8, T&T Group worked with Boeing representatives in Vietnam to promote cooperation opportunities and become a strategic partner in the aviation sector.

According to the Executive Chairman of T&T Group, T&T is planning to develop an aviation group model with Quang Tri airport, Vietravel Airlines, an aviation industrial complex and an airport urban area located in Quang Tri.

“Currently, in the world, there are a number of major airlines from the US, the Middle East and the Netherlands that have successfully developed according to the aviation ecosystem model - aviation group. This ecosystem includes airlines, industry, airports, services, maintenance, repair, flight services, ground airport services as well as airport urban complexes,” Mr. Do Quang Hien emphasized.

According to Mr. Do Quang Hien, this development strategy will be the premise to create a complex of aviation industry, transportation, and cargo circulation. Vietnam currently does not have any airline or business specializing in exploiting cargo flights, and this market share is still mainly in the hands of foreign airlines.

Perspective of Quang Tri Airport.

Regarding the Quang Tri Airport Industrial Complex - Logistics - Service - Trade and Urban Area, recently, the Office of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee announced the conclusion of the acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong after the investor reported the idea of ​​the Planning of the Quang Tri Airport Industrial Complex - Logistics - Service - Trade.

Accordingly, the leaders of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the idea of ​​T&T Group and the consultant from Singapore (CPG Signature Consulting - Singapore). The leaders of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee said that the planning idea of ​​the Quang Tri Aviation - Logistics - Service - Trade and Urban Airport Complex is suitable, creative, feasible, creating a breakthrough, opening up a new direction of development in the future to maximize the potential advantages of the locality, and at the same time agreeing with the planning idea proposed by T&T Group and the consultant from Singapore.

Regarding the scope of the planning study, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province agreed on the Quang Tri Airport Urban Planning plan of about 3,400 hectares, including urban areas - trade services - logistics - semiconductor industry and high-tech industries as the core to develop each level according to the appropriate radius, forming an aviation industrial complex ecosystem of about 7,000 hectares with strong connectivity, oriented to open space to develop into a complex of regional and international scale.

According to consulting unit CPG Signature Pte Ltd, the planning concept of "phoenix taking off" was developed from historical values ​​and heroic feats on the Thach Han River, along with the resilient will of the people of Quang Tri, bringing the development of this place to new heights.

Specifically, the planning takes Quang Tri airport as the center, with an area of ​​3,400 hectares divided into 8 sub-areas. Of which, 5 functional areas include: aviation industrial zone, logistics and distribution zone, innovative aviation zone, gateway connection zone, modern service center zone and 3 residential areas.

Previously, to realize the strategy of building a comprehensive aviation ecosystem, T&T Group, through its member units T&T Airlines and T&T SuperPort, completed the M&A deal of Vietravel Airlines. This is considered an important step for T&T Group and Mr. Hien with the determination to bring Vietnamese aviation to "take off" in the new era of the nation.

Up to now, the pieces in T&T Group's aviation ecosystem include: T&T Airlines - an enterprise specializing in aviation services with a charter capital of 700 billion VND; Quang Tri airport with a scale of 265 hectares, total investment capital of 5,800 billion VND, which is being urgently constructed to be completed by mid-2026; Vietravel Airlines; and finally the Aviation Industry - Logistics - Service - Trade - Airport Urban Complex located in Quang Tri.
