More than 18,000 visitors attend Khanh Son fruit festival

Coming to Khanh Son district, Khanh Hoa province during the 2024 fruit festival, Ms. Dinh Thi Huong, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, was surprised because she felt like she was lost in "mountain fruit", along the roads, people set up stalls selling durian, mangosteen, green-skinned grapefruit, turmeric jackfruit, to nu jackfruit, purple sugarcane,... at preferential prices, responding to the big festival of her district.

Ms. Huong bought 20kg of seedless durian pulp, packed it in a styrofoam box to bring back to her hometown as a gift for her relatives. Previously, she often asked an acquaintance in Khanh Son to buy it and send it to Ho Chi Minh City. Now she has the opportunity to visit and enjoy durian in the garden, famous for its large fruit, thin skin, yellow pulp, small seeds, delicious aroma,...

The 3rd Fruit Festival in 2024, organized by Khanh Son district from August 10-13, aims to introduce the image, people, cuisine and tourism products of the district to domestic and foreign tourists.

In the festival grounds at 20/11 Square, along with special cultural activities, the organizers have arranged 60 booths to display the district’s fruits and other typical products for visitors to shop. In addition, there are special activities such as reenacting traditional festivals of the Raglai people; performing and displaying lithophones, etc. At the same time, they organize guides for tourists to hunt for clouds, visit fruit gardens, local attractions, etc.

Khanh Son district is famous for its majestic natural scenery, including Ta Gu waterfall about 40m high.

According to statistics after 4 days of organization, the festival welcomed more than 18,000 visitors, an increase of more than 3,000 visitors compared to the previous organization, helping the whole district consume an estimated 127 tons of agricultural products of all kinds, including 110 tons of durian and other fruits and typical products.

Mr. Dinh Van Dung, Chairman of Khanh Son District People's Committee, shared that the district's tourism has just begun its first steps. Along with agricultural development, Khanh Son will promote the preservation of national cultural values, historical and cultural relics,... and effectively exploit tourism potential, linking production development, cultural preservation and tourism development into a chain of links in socio-economic development, gradually becoming an "Ecological urban area of ​​mountains and forests" according to the orientation of Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
