Artist Tran Van Binh, from Son Tinh District (Quang Ngai), was born on the last ship to the North in May 1955. He has made a name for himself in the contemporary lacquer painting field. His lacquer painting Rhythm of Life (created in 2010) is kept at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum. What is special is that most of his works do not have sketches but are painted directly on silk, cardboard, oil canvas, and lacquer.

According to artist Le Xuan Chieu: "The highlight in artist Tran Van Binh's works is always pursuing his own style through themes: people, landscapes, festivals, memories, rural activities such as catching fish, catching fish, herding buffalo, flying kites, tug of war..., expressed on many materials: charcoal, powder, silk, oil paint, lacquer... creating values of truth - goodness - beauty, touching the emotions of viewers".

On this occasion, Fine Arts Publishing House also launched Tran Van Binh publication, paintings by author Do Thi Hao.
