Dialogue conference with labor recruitment businesses

On February 13, in Vi Xuyen district, the Provincial People's Committee held a Dialogue Conference with labor recruitment enterprises. The program aimed to remove difficulties in labor recruitment. Comrade Vuong Ngoc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee chaired the Conference.

Conference overview

The conference was attended by the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ha Giang Provincial Youth Union, People's Committees of districts and cities and representatives of 30 enterprises, labor recruitment, training and recruitment units, and employment services. The conference heard the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs assess the labor and employment situation in Ha Giang province. Accordingly, in 2024, the whole province created jobs for more than 30,500 workers. Of which, more than 20,000 workers worked outside the province and workers went to work abroad under contracts.

Most of the opinions of businesses at the conference pointed out that the coordination in propaganda, job consultation and introduction between levels, sectors and businesses is not smooth.

According to incomplete reports, the province has about 70,000 workers working in provinces and cities across the country and over 10,000 workers working abroad under contracts. The policy of sending workers to work outside the province has achieved the desired results. However, there are still limitations in recruitment. Most of the opinions of enterprises at the conference pointed out that the coordination in propaganda, job referral consultation between levels, sectors and enterprises is not smooth. Some local authorities have not really participated in job creation. Labor quality is still low. The ability to receive information about the labor market is limited.

After listening to the opinions of enterprises, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha also hoped that enterprises should clearly state the labor recruitment needs of the units, and closely coordinate with the Provincial Employment Service Center in recruitment work. Immediately after the dialogue conference with enterprises, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had a quick meeting with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, districts and cities. Accordingly, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that districts, cities and the Provincial Youth Union grasp the labor resources and employment situation in the area to proactively develop plans to propagate, advise and guide workers in finding jobs. The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs must proactively grasp information on the labor market and information on labor supply and demand, advise the province to connect and expand the labor market, especially the domestic market, to bring Ha Giang workers to work. The conference proposed solutions to make job recruitment consulting work effective, expanding job search opportunities for Ha Giang workers./.
