Meeting of the Working Group to implement Project 06 of the Government in February 2025

(Quang Binh Portal) - On the afternoon of February 13, 2025, the Working Group implementing the Project on developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve the national digital transformation in the period of 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030 of the Government (Project 06) held a meeting in February 2025. General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, Head of the Working Group implementing Project 06 chaired the meeting.

Attending the meeting at the Quang Binh Provincial Police bridge were comrade Tran Phong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Working Group implementing Project 06 provinces and representatives of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

According to the report at the meeting, up to now, ministries and branches have provided 54/76 essential public services according to Decision No. 206/QD-TTg dated February 28, 2024 of the Prime Minister; The National Public Service Portal has received more than 30.6 million online records, more than 17 million online payment transactions with an amount of over 10 trillion VND; the rate of online records of ministries and branches reached 59.57% (up 29.17% over the same period in 2023), localities reached 56%; 63/63 provinces and centrally run cities have completed upgrading the information system for handling administrative procedures, serving connection with the public service software; 63/63 provinces and cities have made non-cash payments to social security beneficiaries; 78% of people receive pensions and social insurance benefits through their accounts, saving more than 51 billion VND in travel expenses for people.

The Ministry of Public Security has issued over 87.9 million chip-embedded Citizen Identification Cards; collected over 80.1 million electronic identification records (an increase of over 300,000 records compared to December 2024), activated over 60 million accounts (an increase of about 200,000 accounts; provided 35 utilities on VNeID under the direction of the Prime Minister, which were well received by the people with over 460 million visits, an average of 1.5 million visits to VNeID/01 day. As of January 15, 2025, 63/63 localities have officially deployed the issuance of Judicial Records on VNeID...

At the meeting, members of the Government's Project 06 Working Group and representatives of ministries, branches and localities focused on discussing the results of Project 06 implementation; at the same time, proposing and recommending solutions to effectively promote the implementation of Project 06 in the coming time, such as urgently completing technical solutions to gradually ensure 5G telecommunications network coverage infrastructure, creating a digital technology platform for people and businesses; building a roadmap to promote the use of electronic invoices generated from cash registers for businesses and food service establishments; improving the quality of online public services throughout the process towards personalized digital services, regardless of administrative boundaries...

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang acknowledged and highly appreciated the determination to lead and direct the drastic direction of the ministries, branches and localities right in the first days of 2025. To continue to effectively implement Project 06 in the coming time, the Minister requested the ministries, branches and localities to continue to closely follow the key tasks, thoroughly resolve the 38 tasks that are behind schedule; the ministries and branches in the orientation of restructuring, arranging and merging the organizational apparatus urgently complete the Working Group to implement Project 06 in February 2025, ensuring seamless operation, avoiding interruptions; complete the construction of national student data, striving to complete in June 2025; develop national digital infrastructure, innovation infrastructure, build the National Data Center, develop telecommunications satellites, upgrade the national telecommunications backbone infrastructure; Promote propaganda and guide people to carry out administrative procedures in the entire electronic environment to create a spread throughout society...
