14th Provincial Party Committee Reporters Conference, term 2020-2025

This morning, July 23, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department held the 14th Provincial Party Committee reporters' conference for the 2020-2025 term. Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Dao Manh Hung attended the conference.

At the conference, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Dao Manh Hung informed some basic contents about the upcoming 13th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024-2029.

Accordingly, up to now, 125/125 communes, wards, towns and 10/10 districts, towns and cities in the province have successfully organized the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, ensuring the correct progress, content and requirements.

In general, the congresses of the Fatherland Front at the commune and district levels were carefully prepared in terms of document content and personnel plans; the congress management process was serious, ensuring the prescribed program and time.

As planned, the 13th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term will take place in 2 days, from August 8-9, 2024 at the Provincial Party Committee Guest House, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province. The number of official delegates attending the congress is 279 delegates (an increase of 27 delegates, equivalent to 10% compared to the 12th Congress, term 2019-2024); the number of invited delegates is 150 delegates.

Regarding the political report submitted to the congress, during the drafting process, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee closely followed the outline under the guidance of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the results of the Front's work over the years since the beginning of the term; the direction and orientation of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025; 5-year socio-economic development plan from 2020 - 2025 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee; Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW dated November 24, 2023 of the 13th Party Central Committee on continuing to promote the tradition and strength of great national unity, building our country increasingly prosperous and happy; Action Program No. 99-CTr/TU dated May 7, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on implementing Resolution 43-NQ/TW dated November 24, 2023 of the Party Central Committee (13th tenure) on continuing to promote the tradition and strength of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly prosperous and happy...

In order to draft the Political Report to receive many objective, comprehensive, dedicated and quality comments, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organized a conference to widely collect opinions, with the participation of members of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, former leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee through the periods, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, the Advisory Councils and member organizations of the Provincial Front.

The process of developing the congress's personnel plan always closely follows the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the regulations and instructions of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, ensuring that the re-election rate does not exceed 60%. The number of members of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 2024-2029 term is 75, an increase of 3 compared to the previous term, ensuring the expansion of members and social strata.

The conference also heard Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Quoc Khanh provide information on the world and regional situation and foreign affairs activities of our Party and State in the first 6 months of 2024; foreign affairs directions and tasks for the last 6 months of the year.

At the same time, orient a number of key contents that need to be focused on in the coming time, such as: Propagating Directive No. 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo on Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; propagating new documents on Party building, including Decision No. 165-QD/TW dated June 6, 2024 of the Politburo promulgating the Procedure for reviewing and enforcing discipline on Party organizations and Party members under the authority of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat; propagating the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of 2024; propagating the celebration of major holidays and important historical events, along with a number of other important contents.
