Outstanding in the campaigns and propaganda in the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas is Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent problems for women and children". In 2024, the Women's Union organized 5 communication campaigns to prevent and combat injuries and sexual abuse in children with 300 listeners, organized 5 communication campaigns on health care for women and children with 250 listeners; 3 cases of maternity packages were treated, 2 policy dialogues were held with 120 participants; 5 campaigns to prevent and combat child marriage and incestuous marriage with 30 participants.

To enhance women's empowerment, women's union members mobilize each other to help each other with working days, capital, plants, and various types of breeding animals; replicate models of breeding sows, raising buffaloes, converting ineffective corn crops to livestock, growing fruit trees, etc. A typical livestock model of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue's family, Na Ngoa village, Ms. Hue said: I have been a member of the women's union for 35 years now, through participating in emulation movements and good economic development models, it has created many favorable conditions for developing the family economy. My husband and I combine brewing wine, raising 20 pigs/batch and raising fish and chickens, with an average annual income of about 150 million VND. Implementing livestock farming in the garden, pond, and barn model not only ensures hygiene and convenient waste treatment, but also gives the family a stable source of income. My family has been recognized as a "Family of 5 no's and 3 clean's" for 10 years now.
