(Dan Tri) - After completing her master's degree from CFVG, Miss Vietnam National University, Hanoi 2019 Le Thi Ngoc Anh (born 2000, from Nghe An) won a full scholarship from 2 universities in China.
Memorable milestones
Ngoc Anh always aims for the image of a modern girl, not only possessing a charming appearance but also attracting attention with her intelligence and talent. During 12 years of high school, she continuously achieved the title of excellent student, won second prize in civic education and third prize in English at the provincial level.
When she became a student at the University of Foreign Languages - VNU, Hanoi, she continued to maintain good academic results and was active in extracurricular activities. In 2019, Ngoc Anh was crowned Miss VNU Hanoi.
Not stopping there, after graduating with a degree in English, she was admitted to the master's program at the French-Vietnamese Center for Management Training (CFVG).
"When studying the master's program at CFVG, I registered for a completely new major, unrelated to my major at university. Not only was the program heavy, I also felt pressured because of the age difference with my classmates. But it was my thirst for learning and passion that helped me overcome it," Ngoc Anh shared.
In 2023, after completing her master's program, Ngoc Anh won a full CSC scholarship at two Chinese universities, Nanjing University and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
She decided to choose Nanjing University - one of the top five universities in China - to pursue a master's degree in Information Management and Data Analysis (IM&DA).
Sharing about continuing to study for a master's degree instead of becoming a doctoral student, Ngoc Anh confided: "I chose to study for two master's degrees because it is more suitable for my career orientation.
I want to expand my in-depth knowledge in two areas that I am interested in, so that I can combine and flexibly apply them to my actual work. This helps me have a multi-dimensional perspective and develop more comprehensively."
"A PhD is a long-term and in-depth research direction, while at present, I want to focus on accumulating knowledge and practical experience. Of course, nothing can be said in advance. Who knows, in the future, when I have enough foundation and suitable conditions, I will consider studying for a PhD," Ngoc Anh added.
The former beauty queen admitted that the path to winning a scholarship was not easy. The first time Anh applied for a scholarship, it was not as expected.
"The first failure helped me find my mistakes in preparing my application and choosing a school. From there, I prepared myself better and retook foreign language certificates so that my application could be the best," she recalled.
Ngoc Anh said that the full scholarship at Nanjing University is worth 800 million - 1 billion VND, including tuition, accommodation and insurance for 2 years of study, and monthly living expenses.
Lunar New Year - Special Emotions
For Ngoc Anh, traditional values, especially Lunar New Year, are an opportunity for her to return to her family and find peace in her heart.
This girl born in 2000 shared: "Having to study far from home, every Tet holiday I always return to my hometown to celebrate Tet with my family. Traditional Tet is an indispensable part of life."
For her, Tet is an occasion to return to her roots, to remember warm moments with her family, to wrap banh chung together, go to the flower market and gather together to share family stories and traditions.
In 2024, Tet will be even more special when Ngoc Anh takes the opportunity to return to her hometown to celebrate New Year's Eve with her family, where she tells her family about her experiences in China over the past year.
For her, the knowledge and experience of living in a foreign country will be extremely valuable assets that after graduation, Ngoc Anh can bring back to Vietnam to work and contribute to the country.
