These days, walking along people's gardens, to school grounds, and border posts in Lang Chanh district, Thanh Hoa province, it is not difficult to see peach blossoms in full bloom.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan, Principal of Yen Khuong Primary School, Yen Khuong Commune, Lang Chanh District, said that peach blossoms began to bloom throughout the villages and school grounds about half a month ago.

According to Mr. Nhan, this is not the first time peach blossoms have bloomed early. As usual, every year, in mid-November, peach blossoms will give their first bloom and usually last for 2-3 weeks. After this bloom, on the occasion of Lunar New Year, peach blossoms will bloom for the second time.
"There are about 15 peach trees in the school grounds. These are ancient, perennial peach trees. Due to the suitable climate and soil, although they do not need much care, the peach trees still produce a lot of flowers," said Mr. Nhan.

Also during this period, not only in Yen Khuong commune, Lang Chanh district but also in many high mountainous areas in Thanh Hoa such as Lung Cao commune (Ba Thuoc district), Na Meo commune (Quan Son district) or Muong Ly commune (Muong Lat district), peach trees also began to bloom.

Most of the peach varieties grown in this highland area are native peaches. Although the buds and flowers are small, they are resilient and can withstand dry and harsh weather conditions.
