Quang Ninh is a locality that has early implemented programs to support the startup and innovation ecosystem. Ideas and projects are always of interest to all levels and sectors of the province, creating favorable conditions for implementation.

Since 2017, the Quang Ninh Investment and Startup Club was established, followed by 13 district-level startup clubs and 3 startup clubs in universities and colleges. To date, startup clubs across the province have attracted nearly 500 members, creating a diverse ecosystem with many different industries, occupations and fields.
Mr. Pham Quang Tung, Chairman of Quang Ninh Investment and Startup Club, said: In recent times, investment and startup clubs in the whole province have been proactive in planning activities and implementing specific action programs, and at the same time, there have been many support and exchange activities to increase connectivity, creating a united and mutually supportive startup community. We also maintain connections with departments, branches, localities and units and organizations to promptly support and remove obstacles in the operations of member businesses. Actively support businesses and startup entrepreneurs, build corporate culture, innovate technology, improve competitiveness, build brands, expand markets; promptly commend and reward individuals who have contributed to the startup movement of the province...
With favorable natural conditions and unique cultural features, many young businesses have boldly realized their startup ideas with key agricultural products, local tourism potential, and created digital applications... Thereby, there are new ways to promote and increase product value, build linkage chains, and improve production and business efficiency of individuals and communities.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien and Mr. Ly Tai Ngan have realized their dream of starting a business with the Am Vap Farm project in Ky Thuong commune (Ha Long city). This is a tourism project associated with the culture of the Dao Thanh Phan community, put into operation from 2022.
Coming to Am Vap Farm, visitors can experience activities associated with nature, such as: rowing, swimming in streams, visiting bamboo forests, enjoying clean cuisine grown and processed right on the farm in the countryside, staying in stilt houses... At Ky Thuong, besides the fresh and cool natural climate, visitors will also discover the traditional cultural features of ethnic minorities. Currently, this project has the cooperation of more than 30 workers who are ethnic minorities in the area.

In 2022, FarmGo farm management software was created by Startup Vu Duc Tuan, Director of HIPOTECH Technology Company Limited (Quang Yen Town). FarmGo is an application that runs on smartphones and computers (web version), helping to meet the maximum needs in monitoring and managing farms. The application also integrates many modern and specialized features such as: IoT sensors to collect data on humidity, salinity, temperature, light; using cameras to count the number of livestock; AI to analyze risks, weather warnings, etc.
With a new idea from FarmGo, Mr. Vu Duc Tuan won the first prize at the "6th Provincial Creative Startup Ideas Contest, 2023" organized by the Provincial Youth Union; Top 10 of the "Search for Creative Startup Ideas and Projects in 2023" contest organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
In recent times, competitions, contests, and forums to search for creative ideas to promote innovative start-up activities have been strongly implemented throughout the province, such as: "Technical Innovation" Contest; "Youth and Children's Creativity" Contest, "Creative Ideas"... Recently, the province opened the Center for Start-up, Innovation and Digital Transformation Support. Thereby providing space, utilities, and facilities to serve activities to support the community, businesses in general, and start-ups in particular; supporting the development of start-up ideas and projects, linking with incubators inside and outside the province to carry out incubation of start-up projects...
In addition, the province also has policies to encourage and support businesses to establish and develop, typically creating conditions for administrative procedures, preferential loans, legal and tax consulting, etc. These are necessary stepping stones from state management agencies to create motivation to promote the startup environment.
