Highlights of England's easy win over Serbia
"England played very passively. I don't like seeing them play deep defense, allowing Serbia to approach the goal," coach Ten Hag expressed on Dutch television station NOS about the opening match between England and Serbia in the early morning of June 17 (Vietnam time).

The Three Lions got off to a good start in Gelsenkirchen when midfielder Jude Bellingham gave England the lead with a powerful header in the 13th minute.
However, coach Gareth Southgate's team lost control of the match after the first half and could only breathe a sigh of relief when they won 3 points in the end, thereby winning the top spot in Group C after the first round (the remaining match in Group C saw Denmark draw 1-1 with Slovenia).
"In the first half, I really liked Jude Bellingham. He took England by the hand and lifted them to a higher level," coach Ten Hag praised the Real Madrid striker.
However, the Dutch strategist expressed dissatisfaction with the tactics that coach Southgate had put in place after England took the lead against Serbia.
"That was Southgate's vision. England were 1-0 up, then he decided to start gambling by keeping the team tight and relying on moments in the remaining minutes of the match," the 54-year-old coach criticized.
However, coach Ten Hag agreed with coach Southgate's decision to remove the duo Jack Grealish and Marcus Rashford from the Three Lions squad for Euro 2024.
"Grealish and Rashford have not played much this season. And when you lack playing time, it is understandable that you are not selected for the national team," coach Ten Hag concluded.
