(Dan Tri) - The principal and all three vice principals of this school must return their teaching allowances. This school also has many collections that transfer money to personal accounts instead of the school account.

The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has just announced the results of a surprise inspection of Phu Nhuan High School.

The inspection results showed that in 3 years (from the 2020-2021 to 2022-2023 school years), Phu Nhuan High School made mistakes in paying teaching allowances to the principal and 3 vice principals.

Specifically, due to teaching less than the required number of periods, the principal of this school will not receive teaching allowances in December 2020, December 2022, January 2023, and May 2023.

The three vice principals of the school also did not receive teaching allowances during the above period.

The leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City required the Principal of Phu Nhuan High School to return an allowance of more than 8.2 million VND; 3 vice principals must return a total of nearly 47 million VND.

Multiple payments to personal accounts

The inspection results also showed that there were many collections at Phu Nhuan High School, Ho Chi Minh City, where money was transferred to personal accounts instead of the school's account.

Some student fees at school such as operating expenses of the Parents' Association, review fees for 12th grade students, and fees for students participating in extracurricular activities at this school are implemented as follows:

Regarding the operating expenses of the Parents' Representative Board, the Representative Board has authorized in writing the school's treasurer, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Trang, to receive contributions from parents in cash (2021, 2022 and 2023), transfer via personal accounts (2021, 2022) and hand them over to the school's Parents' Representative Board for management.

Regarding the review fees for grade 12 students, after reaching an agreement with the students' parents, the school will collect the review fees for grade 12 through Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Trang's personal account in 2021 and 2022. In 2023, this amount will be transferred to the school account.

For the amount of money students participate in extracurricular activities, in the 2021-2022 school year, the school will collect through Ms. Trang's personal account.

The inspection results showed that immediately after discovering the incident, the school leaders asked Ms. Trang to stop collecting money through her personal account. At the same time, they asked her to close the bank account she was using to avoid parents transferring money to a previously saved account.

Some other amounts at the school such as money to support means and equipment for online teaching and learning for students during the pandemic; charity concerts from 2021 to 2023 at the school are also collected through personal accounts.

The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City requires Phu Nhan High School to implement the collection of revenues through bank and treasury accounts in the school's name.

School leaders are responsible for monitoring and supervising to ensure that no individual is allowed to represent the school in collecting money through personal accounts.
