In the National Financial Inclusion Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2030, the Government has identified goals, tasks and solutions to promote access to and use of financial products and services for all people, focusing on those who have not had access or have had little access, especially those living in rural, remote and isolated areas; the poor, low-income people, women and other vulnerable groups.
As a business operating in the field of finance and insurance, Hanwha Life Vietnam is always aware of its role and responsibility to society through actively participating in community development activities with financial management knowledge and appropriate solutions. One of them is a series of community activities to improve financial knowledge aimed at diverse groups of people such as students, people in rural areas, remote areas, ...
In particular, the young generation is the group that the company pays attention to and devotes a lot of effort to. Hanwha Life Vietnam believes that if there are appropriate measures to promote financial education, the whole society will benefit because not only adults but also children can learn and be able to master financial decisions through the effective support of financial services and products provided by financial institutions.
Business internships welcome students
Although not a new activity, business internship programs always attract students because of their interesting experiences and practicality. At Hanwha Life Vietnam, a series of internships for students from the faculties of Journalism, International Relations, Korean Studies, etc. of Van Lang University and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have been successfully organized.
The special feature is that the program content is designed “tailor-made” for each group of students, meeting the needs of professional information. In particular, the topic of Personal Financial Management is effectively integrated, helping students not only have a foundation of specialized knowledge but also early access to personal financial concepts, and be able to make appropriate decisions on saving, spending, and investing. In just 1 year, the internship program has attracted hundreds of students to participate and access future career opportunities.
According to a representative of Hanwha Life Vietnam: “The world is increasingly developing, the age of accessing financial services is getting younger. Therefore, it is never too early to teach children about the value of money or the meaning of saving. We believe that financial literacy should be considered a necessary life skill, then young people will be more confident in their lives, soon becoming a person who is “smart in financial management” .
Bringing financial knowledge to the West
After Ho Chi Minh City, the journey of bringing financial knowledge to young people continues to be expanded by Hanwha Life Vietnam to the Western provinces, with the first two schools in Ben Tre and Tien Giang. The beneficiaries of the program here are mostly poor families with limited financial knowledge and awareness, not beyond "running for rice every meal" .
Through practical knowledge about personal finance conveyed in familiar language by lecturers of Hanwha Life Vietnam, the company hopes to help raise financial awareness among students, spread joyful energy, encourage them to boldly pursue their dreams, and change their lives for the better.
The program also focuses on sharing knowledge with parents with the hope of helping families make reasonable spending and saving decisions, especially in difficult circumstances, to gradually achieve stability in life, thereby contributing to creating sustainable values for the community.
Share career stories - ignite passion
With 15 years of experience in the life insurance sector in Vietnam, Hanwha Life is always actively "giving away" a treasure trove of knowledge, experience, and the meaning of insurance, and forecasting future development trends to teachers of schools to contribute to the orientation of learning - teaching - research - professional development.
Typically, at the seminar "Life Insurance Market in Vietnam" organized by the Faculty of Finance and Banking, Van Lang University in May 2023, representatives of Hanwha Life Vietnam shared valuable knowledge and practical experience in the life insurance industry with lecturers working at the faculty. Thereby, helping teachers easily update their lectures, build highly applicable programs, help students position themselves and integrate into the business environment more easily.
This is also considered an initial effort for businesses and schools to build a quality human resource for the Vietnamese life insurance market - which is gradually developing with increasingly high professional requirements.
In the coming time, education will continue to be a focus in Hanwha Life Vietnam's sustainable community development activities because long-term investment in people will help nurture the next generations to be confident, dynamic and civilized.
