Therefore, equipping students with digital skills and self-protection knowledge is more urgent than ever.
According to the Vietnam Cyber Emergency Response Center - VNCERT/CC under the Department of Information Security (Ministry of Information and Communications), the permanent unit of the Child Rescue and Protection Network on the Internet, education, communication to raise awareness and equip skills is one of the five main groups of measures that have been and are being coordinated by agencies and organizations to protect Vietnamese children online.
With the aim of continuing to enhance digital awareness and skills for secondary and high school students nationwide, the Department of Information Security has just coordinated with Meta, Vietnet-ICT and VTC Netviet to deploy the course "Digital skills and Internet safety for students" on the mass open online learning platform OneTouch, with the domain names onetouch.mic.gov.vn and onetouch.edu.vn.
"Digital skills and Internet safety for students" is a course under the "Digital age thinking" program, implemented within the framework of Decision 830 of 2021 of the Prime Minister on protecting and supporting children to interact healthily and creatively in the online environment until 2025.
Designed in a systematic, easy-to-understand manner, suitable for the psychology and learning ability of middle and high school students, the course has 5 main topics including: Introduction to the digital world, basic digital knowledge, digital health, digital interaction and preventing fraud on the Internet. The topics of the course "Digital skills and Internet safety for students" not only provide theoretical knowledge but also have practical exercises and real-life situations to help students practice critical thinking and self-protection skills in the online environment.
In particular, the learning content is updated according to the latest technology trends, helping students not only use the Internet safely but also know how to effectively exploit digital platforms for learning and personal development.
The course is led by a team of leading experts in the field of technology and digital education from Vietnet-ICT. The guidance and communication of the experts will ensure the quality of teaching, helping students easily access accurate and useful information.
