The propaganda work has also helped people in Ham Yen access and fully understand many major policies and strategies on poverty reduction and socio-economic development for mountainous areas and ethnic minority areas. The material and spiritual life of Ham Yen has gradually improved. In the period of 2019-2023, the poverty rate of the district decreased from 4,753 households to 3,362 households, a decrease of 4.75%. 11/17 communes have met the new rural standards, 01 commune has met the advanced new rural standards.
