Foreign players Janclesio and Diallo both scored, helping Ha Tinh defeat Binh Dinh 2-1 in round 11 of V-League 2023.
Ha Tinh is on the rise with two wins and one draw in the last three matches, ranking in the top 6. On the contrary, despite possessing a quality squad, Binh Dinh is under pressure because of draws and losses in the last two matches.
That form quickly translated into the events at Ha Tinh Stadium. The home team played cautiously and soon made the visitors taste the bitter fruit. In the 5th minute, from the right wing, Paulo Pinto crossed the ball into the penalty area, passing four Binh Dinh defenders. Escaping to the far post, captain Janclesio tapped the ball with his left foot into Dang Van Lam's net.

Binh Dinh attacked weakly with only one pass to striker Rafaelson, but this foreign player missed it all. Rafaelson's supporting satellites, Ha Duc Chinh and Nghiem Xuan Tu, both disappeared, under the fierce pursuit of the home team's defenders.
In the second half, Binh Dinh pushed up their formation. In the 46th minute, Rafelson shot from a distance, sending the ball wide of Ha Tinh's right post. While struggling in attack, Binh Dinh suddenly found themselves in a difficult situation when center-back Almeida received a second yellow card for using a trick to prevent Diallo from escaping.
With the advantage of more players, Ha Tinh immediately pressed forward and were soon rewarded. In the 74th minute, defender Bui Van Duc - a new player of the Vietnam team, escaped down the right wing and passed the ball inside. From about 7 meters, Diallo shot a powerful cross-angle shot to increase the score to 2-0.

Binh Dinh's efforts earned them a penalty in the final minute of injury time of the second half, when Viktor Le was illegally tackled by Viet Trieu in the penalty area. On the 11m mark, Rafaelson easily defeated Quang Tuan, reducing the score to 1-2. After this situation, referee Vu Nguyen Vu blew the whistle to end the match.
In contrast to Binh Dinh's sad feelings, coach Nguyen Thanh Cong's players hugged each other to celebrate, waving to thousands of fans. This victory brought their team to fourth place with 17 points, close to the goal of entering the top 8 to avoid relegation early. Binh Dinh fell to sixth place with 15 points.
In round 12, Ha Tinh will face Hanoi Police at Hang Day Stadium, while Binh Dinh will continue to play away at SLNA's Vinh Stadium.
