Hanoi to implement management of health insurance medical examination and treatment costs in 2025

GĐXH - Hanoi People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch on the implementation of the budget for medical examination and treatment under health insurance in 2025 according to Decision No. 472/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.

Accordingly, Hanoi will implement solutions on management and effective use of the health insurance fund and the estimated cost of health insurance treatment assigned in 2025;

At the same time, there are solutions to mobilize people to participate in health insurance suitable for each group of subjects, towards completing the assigned health insurance coverage target to achieve the goal of developing health insurance.

Report on the use of health insurance cost estimates for 2025 to the City People's Committee according to regulations.

Hanoi will implement solutions on management and effective use of the health insurance fund and the estimated cost of health insurance treatment assigned in 2025.

The Hanoi Department of Health shall preside over and coordinate with the Social Insurance of Region I and relevant agencies to inspect and examine the use of the health insurance fund, and prevent abuse and profiteering from the health insurance fund.

Medical examination and treatment facilities under the Department of Health must also comply with regulations on medical examination and treatment, drug prescription and technical services in accordance with professional procedures.

The Department of Health will advise the City People's Committee to request the Ministry of Health to strengthen inspection and adjustment of health insurance treatment costs at hospitals under the Ministry of Health.

Health insurance medical facilities in the city must develop plans and solutions to manage and control health insurance medical expenses, ensuring savings and efficiency.

These facilities must ensure proper implementation of regulations on medical examination and treatment, and provide adequate medicine, medical supplies and technical services for health insurance participants.

At the same time, medical facilities must proactively review and adjust the increased health insurance costs, especially unreasonable costs as warned by the social insurance agency.

At the same time, the Hanoi People's Committee issued regulations on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Medical Center under the People's Committee of Ha Dong district and the People's Committee of Quoc Oai district.

Accordingly, the above two Medical Centers are both public health service units; are units with legal status, headquarters, seals, and separate accounts opened at the State Treasury and Banks according to the provisions of law; are under the comprehensive management of the People's Committee of the local district/county and are subject to the direction, guidance, inspection, and examination of expertise, techniques, and profession of the Department of Health and specialized agencies under the Hanoi City People's Committee according to the provisions of law.

The above 2 Medical Centers have the function of providing professional and technical services in preventive medicine, medical examination, treatment, rehabilitation, reproductive health, food safety, population, and other medical services according to the provisions of law; directly managing ward health stations and regional polyclinics in the area.

Ha Dong District Medical Center has 15 ward health stations and 02 regional polyclinics: Central polyclinic; Phu Luong regional polyclinic.

Quoc Oai District Medical Center has 17 commune and town health stations and 01 regional polyclinic: Hoa Thach regional polyclinic.
