Hanoi: 567 more relics added to inventory and conservation list

The list of additional relics includes many different types such as communal houses, temples, pagodas, shrines, ancestral houses, shops, and communal houses, etc. distributed in many districts, towns, and cities. Some districts have a significant number of additional relics, such as My Duc district (44 relics), Soc Son district (39 relics), Son Tay town (37 relics), and Thach That district (33 relics).

The Hanoi People's Committee requests the Department of Culture and Sports to announce the list of additional inventory of relics in the city from December 31, 2015 to January 31, 2025; hand over data and list of relics to districts, towns and cities for management according to regulations; annually synthesize data on changes (increase, decrease); every 5 years, review and submit to the City People's Committee for approval to adjust and supplement the list of relic inventory.

In addition, the Hanoi People's Committee requires districts, towns and cities to be responsible for implementing state management of relics in the list of additional inventories; ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage, current legal regulations and city regulations on management, protection and promotion of relic values.

The Decision takes effect from the date of signing and is assigned to the Chief of Office of the City People's Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, Heads of Departments, branches, sectors, Chairmen of People's Committees of districts, towns and related organizations and individuals to be responsible for implementation.

This addition demonstrates Hanoi city's efforts in preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage, while creating a legal basis for the management and protection of relics in accordance with the provisions of law.
