Hanoi to display light show using drones

At the press conference on socio-economic information held by the Hanoi People's Committee on the afternoon of January 19, Chief of Office and Spokesperson of the Hanoi People's Committee Truong Viet Dung said that in 2023, despite many difficulties and challenges, the city's socio-economic development will still be maintained and the general goals will be basically achieved.

Entering February 2024, which is the Lunar New Year, the City will focus on social security work. In addition, the City will set off fireworks at 32 locations, including 9 high-altitude locations with 600 fireworks.

“The latest thing I announced at the Conference today is that Hanoi City will set a record in Southeast Asia, the highest in Vietnam for a drone light show (2024 drones) combined with music. The expected location is West Lake and further research will be done at My Dinh Stadium,” said Chief of Office of the City People's Committee Truong Viet Dung.

The spokesperson of the City People's Committee added that the light show combined with the New Year's Eve will be held before the fireworks display from 11-11:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live. The City People's Committee submitted to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to assign the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department to review the content.

“This is a new feature, an important highlight in the joyful atmosphere welcoming the victory of 2023, welcoming and entering 2024 with new spirit, as well as implementing the capital's cultural industry. The light show may be unprecedented, the City will announce the detailed content later”, said the Chief of Office of the City People's Committee .
