More than 2.3 million preschool and primary school students in Hanoi will have 8 days off for Lunar New Year, the same as last year.
On the evening of January 9, the Hanoi People's Committee approved the policy on the Tet holiday of the Education sector. Accordingly, students will have 8 days off for Tet, starting from February 7 to February 14 (December 28 to January 5).
Thus, the number of Tet holidays for Hanoi students is equal to two years ago and one day more than that of civil servants and public employees.
In the draft plan for Tet holiday, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training requires schools to promote and improve skills in preventing accidents and injuries; ensure safety, especially in cyberspace for students. In addition, schools need to focus on caring for the material and spiritual lives of teachers, staff and students; and manage and organize festivals in a practical and safe manner.
