Currently, she is the deputy director of a company specializing in prefabricated houses. She has worked very hard to have the career she has today. Her father died early, her mother worked hard to raise her children.
Ms. Suong recalls: “When my father passed away, my family was in a difficult situation, fortunately thanks to the support of relatives and neighbors. I know that my family owes a great debt of gratitude, so I always try my best in life , not to let down those who have helped me.”
Determined to escape poverty, she persevered despite many failures. At first, she learned sewing, and after getting married, she followed her husband into the iron industry. From knowing nothing about iron and steel, she taught herself and gradually mastered the techniques and sales methods.
Always keeping their word and paying attention to every detail, their products are increasingly popular with customers. When the work gradually stabilized, the couple expanded their business to many other areas.
The zero-dong bread is made by Ms. Vo Thi Thu Suong in coordination with the Women's Union of Long Cang commune, Can Duoc district every month.
Running a business, despite her busy schedule, she still takes time to participate in movements and activities of the commune and district. One of her community-oriented activities is to regularly visit and give gifts to poor, near-poor, disadvantaged households, people with disabilities, lonely elderly people, orphans, etc.
She said that when she was young and her family was poor, she was very happy every time someone gave her something because when she was in need, a bowl of rice or a fish was as precious as gold and silver. Later, when she did charity work, she felt the joy of the recipients and remembered the image of her family in the past.
Every year, she gives more than 200 gifts to people in difficult circumstances, totaling around 100 million VND. Every month, she coordinates with the Women's Union of the commune to organize a 0 VND stall , giving bread, wet rice cakes, instant noodles, etc. to people at Long Cang market.
On the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, with the approval of the local government, she coordinated with the departments and organizations of the commune to organize a Mid-Autumn Festival for children with many folk games, performances, feasts, and gifts worth more than 25 million VND (she has maintained this for 5 consecutive years). On the 30th of April and 1st of May, she organized a free buffet party for workers who could not return to their hometowns,...

Responding to the Godmother program launched by the Women's Union of Long Cang commune, she regularly supports 3 orphans every month with a total amount of 9.9 million VND.
Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Long Cang Commune - Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy said: "During the Covid-19 epidemic, Ms. Suong actively took the lead in supporting the fight against the epidemic. She supported the purchase and "rescue" of agricultural products for farmers, then together with the Women's Union of the commune organized a 0-dong stall, joined the team to transport vegetables to each house of the people. She actively participated in the movements of the Union and often proactively called me to organize volunteer activities in the area."
When giving gifts, she always goes through the local authorities and visits each family to learn about their circumstances because she always thinks that "the way you give is better than what you give", just giving money is not enough.
Ms. Suong shared: “When I do volunteer work, I don’t think about anything, just being able to help people makes me happy. Sometimes, in work and life, I encounter many difficulties that make me feel like I’m about to collapse, but when I think of people who are still trying hard every day, even though they are lying in one place, I have the motivation to continue. I receive support from the local government and the Commune Women’s Union, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to do it alone.”
With her contributions, she received many certificates of merit at the provincial, district and communal levels, especially the love and affection of the people. She humbly said that she was just continuing the good deeds of her grandfather - the person she always loved and respected./.
