The report of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department stated: In the first quarter of 2024, public opinion was very interested and concerned about many international issues, including the war in the Gaza Strip and the increasingly tense military conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

People are excited about the achievements in the fields of socio-economics, national defense and security of the province in recent times. Accordingly, the macro-economy continues to be stable, inflation is controlled, growth is promoted, social security is ensured, and people's lives are improved. In particular, recently, the province has organized the groundbreaking ceremony for many key projects such as Quang Tri Industrial Park, Quang Tri Airport, My Thuy Port, creating a premise for socio-economic development in 2024 and the following years.

The promotion of the construction of the Lao Bao (Vietnam) - Densavan (Laos) Joint Cross-Border Economic Zone is being implemented by the competent authorities of Vietnam and Laos. On March 15, 2024, the Workshop "Lao Bao - Densavan Joint Cross-Border Economic Zone" was held in Huong Hoa district to collect opinions from experts, scientists, relevant agencies, and Vietnamese and Lao enterprises so that Quang Tri province and Savannakhet province can continue to perfect the project as well as the draft content of the Agreement between the two governments of Vietnam and Laos with the hope that when the cross-border economic zone comes into operation, it will be highly feasible and in line with the Vietnam - Laos relationship. Many experts believe that in order to build the Lao Bao - Densavan Joint Cross-Border Economic Zone as a new fundamental and substantive development model, it is necessary to aim for a system of institutional standards for an international-class free trade zone.

The 2024 military enlistment activity was organized solemnly, safely, quickly, and the quality of new recruits met the requirements.

People in the province were delighted with the news that on December 29, 2023, the Government signed Decision No. 1773 approving the Quang Tri Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. This is an integrated planning document covering many sectors, fields, and territories with a huge amount of work, carried out according to a new method, and is the legal basis for the province to deploy investment activities for socio-economic development in the future...

Speaking at the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ho Dai Nam analyzed and discussed to clarify the contents that the public is interested in, such as the results of the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity; the policy of merging commune-level administrative units... Thereby, he requested the team of social public opinion collaborators to strengthen propaganda and orientation work to help people fully grasp information, creating consensus in society.

In the second quarter of 2024, focus on information and propaganda about the celebration of some major holidays of the homeland and country, including the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day on April 30 (1975-2024); the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory on May 7 (1954-2024): the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday on May 19 (1890-2024), the 35th anniversary of the re-establishment of Quang Tri province on July 1 (1989-2024); the Festival for Peace is expected to take place from June 29 to July 26, 2024.

At the same time, monitor, grasp, explain and orient public opinion related to the Planning of Quang Tri province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 and the implementation of the construction of the Lao Bao - Densavan cross-border economic and trade zone as well as holding congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels towards the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029.
