Monitoring the implementation of social security support

On July 18, the delegation to supervise the implementation of the process of reviewing poor and near-poor households and social security support work of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee supervised social security support work in the province according to Decision 24/2021/QD-TTg dated July 16, 2021 of the Prime Minister for the Provincial Social Insurance.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Khong Manh Hung - Deputy Head of the monitoring delegation delivered a concluding speech at the monitoring session.

The provincial Social Insurance (SSI) has coordinated with relevant agencies to organize the implementation of social insurance and health insurance policies in the province according to regulations, especially health insurance policies for poor and near-poor households. Promote propaganda and communication about policies, benefits, and the importance of health insurance so that all people can understand.

According to the provisions of the Law on Health Insurance, poor households receive 100% support from the State budget; near-poor households receive 70% support from the State budget. In Phu Tho province, near-poor households in the province in the period of 2021-2025 will receive an additional 15% support.

In 2022, the whole province has 35,289 poor people granted health insurance cards with a budget of more than 28 billion VND; 31,119 people from near-poor households participate in health insurance, reaching 100%, of which the Provincial Fatherland Front supports the cost of buying cards for 5,566 people.

In 2023, 30,669 poor people were granted health insurance cards; 26,417 people from near-poor households participated in health insurance, reaching 100% of people from near-poor households having health insurance cards, in which the provincial Social Insurance coordinated with agencies to launch a movement to give 2,259 health insurance cards to people from near-poor households. However, by the end of June 2024, there were still 1,567 people from near-poor households who did not have health insurance cards.

The monitoring delegation of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the implementation of the health insurance policy for poor and near-poor households by the provincial Social Insurance; at the same time, it requested that in the coming time, the provincial Social Insurance strengthen coordination with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Department of Health in implementing health insurance for these subjects.

Ensure that the issuance of health insurance cards, management, and organization of medical examination and treatment for subjects are implemented in a timely manner; promote information and propaganda work to raise people's awareness to increase the rate of health insurance coverage; coordinate to carefully review each subject, check and compare citizens' residence management information to ensure that the information on the card is accurate, facilitating people's medical examination and treatment.

The monitoring delegation also received and synthesized opinions and recommendations from the provincial Social Insurance agency to reflect to competent authorities for consideration and resolution.
