On November 10, the race that is being awaited by those who love mountain biking will officially start in Hoa Binh City - the locality that owns the racing track that is considered the highest quality and most impressive in the Northern region. That is the 2024 National Amateur Mountain Bike Championship - IRCtire Cup organized by the Vietnam Bicycle - Motor Sports Federation, in coordination with Minh Viet Media and Trading Company (MVA). The race is sponsored by the IRCtire brand - a global 2-wheel tire "expert" with more than 90 years of experience developing and manufacturing bicycle tires worldwide. Not only does it aim to spread the mountain bike training movement to sports lovers, it is also an opportunity to connect, exchange and share experiences with the community of enthusiasts of this sport. Acceleration route [/caption] The race takes place on November 10, 2024, with a total prize value of up to 200 million VND, including cash and useful gifts from sponsor IRC Tire and the tournament organizers. To encourage the sportsmanship of the athletes, the organizers also give a special gift of a set of IRCtire tires to the 100 earliest registrants. Based on individual achievements, the race will find the owners of three individual awards First, Second, Third and three team awards First, Second, Third for the teams with the highest total individual achievements. Not only do athletes register to participate as individuals, the IRCtire Cup also attracts the attention of many clubs. Some clubs register nearly 30 athletes to compete, some clubs are constantly adding more members to compete. Currently, the number of registered athletes has reached more than 320 people, enough to see the heat from the IRCtire Cup as well as the mountain bike community nationwide. It can be seen that, although it is the first amateur tournament organized, the IRCtire Cup is relatively large in scale and has been very carefully prepared, attracting the attention of many athletes. The race track is designed on a high hill, with many types of terrain such as wavy roads, flying mounds, steep hills and winding turns, creating difficulty and bringing certain challenges to the participating athletes. Starting from Hoa Binh Square, the race track has flat terrain so that athletes have space to break away from the first minutes. Then comes the uphill phase that challenges physical strength, endurance and good flexibility to conquer the rough, winding road. Before reaching the finish line, the off-road terrain with narrow roads and lots of rocks will be the last chance for athletes with good mountain bike techniques to take the lead. The IRCtire Cup race is divided into 2 distances for 5 groups of athletes. The young men's group (aged 30 and under) and middle-aged men's group (aged 31 - 45) will compete 30.83km. The senior men's group (aged 46 and over), young women's group (aged 40 and under) and senior women's group (aged 41 and over) will compete 21.93km. In addition, the IRCTire Cup also has a 5km competition category for amateur athletes to compete freely, not counting towards the prize. In this race, the Organizing Committee said that it will closely coordinate with the referees and athletes to ensure safety, fairness, and civilization, bringing the most positive competition environment to promote the development of the mountain bike training movement. The registration period is expected to last until October 30, 2024.
