Gold ring price continues to rise, central rate drops sharply

At 9:00 a.m. on August 27, at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the price of plain round gold rings was listed at 77.38-78.58 million VND/tael (buy/sell), an increase of 60,000 VND/tael. Phu Quy Company listed the price of 999.0 round gold rings at 77.30-78.55 million VND/tael, unchanged. In the previous session, the price of gold rings at the two above companies increased from 90,000-100,000 VND/tael.

Meanwhile, the price of SJC gold has remained stable since August 20. Accordingly, Doji Company, Phu Quy Company and Saigon Jewelry Company all announced the buying price of SJC gold at 79 million VND/tael and the selling price at 81 million VND/tael.

In the world, the price of gold fluctuated around 2,512 USD/ounce, down nearly 3 USD/ounce compared to the same time last session. This price when converted is equivalent to 75.85 million VND/tael.

This morning, the State Bank listed the central exchange rate on August 27 at 24,224 VND/USD, down 30 VND compared to August 26.

With a margin of +/-5%, Agribank announced the buying and selling prices from 24,700-25,040 VND/USD, down 60 VND. BIDV Bank bought and sold from 24,700-25,040 VND/USD, down 15 VND. Vietcombank listed the USD exchange rate from 24,700-25,040 VND/USD, down 10 VND. However, Vietinbank bought at 24,683 VND/USD and sold at 25,023 VND/USD, up 3 VND.
