Domestic gold prices fell across the board on the opening session of January 13, with the SJC brand at domestic businesses falling by VND200,000 per tael, while ring gold prices adjusted from VND100,000 to VND200,000 per tael.
Two domestic gold brands both turned down in the opening session of the first morning of the week (January 13).
At 9:00 a.m., Saigon Jewelry Company and Doji Company both listed SJC gold price from 84.60-86.60 million VND/tael, down 200,000 VND/tael compared to the previous closing price.
Similarly, other businesses such as Vietinbank, BIDV and Agribank also adjusted their transaction prices to VND84.60-86.60 million/tael (buy/sell), down VND200,000/tael.
At the same time, the price of gold rings at Phu Quy Company was listed at VND84.80-86.30 million/tael (buy/sell), down VND100,000/tael compared to the closing price on January 11. Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the company announced VND85.20-86.60 million/tael (buy/sell), down VND200,000/tael.
Last week, thanks to the continuous increase, the price of SJC gold increased by 1.3 million VND/tael, and ring gold increased by 700,000 VND/tael.
In the world, gold prices continued to expand their upward momentum when they reached the threshold of 2,688 USD/ounce, an increase of more than 10 USD/ounce compared to the same time in the previous session. This price is equivalent to 82.75 million VND/tael when converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank.
This morning, the State Bank listed the central exchange rate on January 13 at 24,343 VND/USD, up 2 VND compared to the previous session.
With a margin of +/-5%, Vietcombank and BIDV both listed the USD exchange rate from 25,185-25,545 VND/USD (buy/sell), down 13 VND, while Agribank listed from 25,200-25,540 VND/USD, down 10 VND compared to the previous closing price.
However, Vietinbank announced that the USD exchange rate from 25,135-25,535 VND/USD remains stable./.
