Today's live pig price in the Northern region is generally stable. Most localities maintain the price level of the previous day. The common price fluctuates around 67,000 - 68,000 VND/kg.
Notably, Thai Nguyen province recorded a slight increase of VND 1,000/kg, reaching VND 68,000/kg.
Other provinces and cities such as Bac Giang, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Vinh Phuc, Hanoi, Ninh Binh and Tuyen Quang have no price changes.

In the Central Highlands region
Pig prices in the Central Highlands region generally remained stable in many localities.
Thanh Hoa is the only locality in the region that recorded a slight increase of VND 1,000/kg, up to VND 68,000/kg.
In provinces such as Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Khanh Hoa, the price of live pigs continues to remain high, ranging from 69,000 to 70,000 VND/kg.
Some other localities still maintain higher prices, with Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan reaching 73,000 VND/kg, while Dak Lak remains at 72,000 VND/kg.

Other localities such as Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Long An, An Giang, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Ca Mau, Tien Giang, Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh and Ben Tre have no price changes.

In general, the live hog market on April 14 maintained a stable trend in all three regions. However, some localities still recorded slight increases such as Thai Nguyen (North), Thanh Hoa (Central) and Dong Thap, Soc Trang (South). In particular, the Southern region continued to maintain the highest price compared to the other two regions.
Thanh Hoa has a total herd of 1.3 million pigs.
According to statistics from the Thanh Hoa Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, currently, the total herd of pigs in the province reaches 1.3 million, with 588 farms and more than 88,000 households raising pigs, with an annual output of about 185,000 tons of fresh meat.
In the first 3 months of 2025, Thanh Hoa's pig farming industry sold about 480,000 pigs, worth about 3,600 billion VND, with an estimated profit of 720 billion VND. On average, the number of pigs sold for meat in the province is about 155,000 - 160,000 per month, of which about 110,000 pigs are slaughtered and consumed in the province, and more than 40,000 pigs are sold to other provinces and cities. It is estimated that in 2025, the total production value of pig farming in Thanh Hoa province will reach about 12,000 billion VND, according to Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station.
