Therefore, the traffic volume on National Highway 28 will increase rapidly. Therefore, investing in the route from the center of Ham Thuan Bac district to National Highway 1A to connect National Highway 1A and National Highway 28 with the North - South expressway and vice versa is very necessary, contributing to shortening the distance and transportation time. At the same time, reduce traffic load on National Highway 28 to ensure safe and smooth traffic, promoting the effectiveness of investment in traffic infrastructure.

It is known that the project of road from Ham Thuan Bac District Center to National Highway 1A was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 325/QD-UBND dated February 7, 2024, with a length of 4,438.21 m; road surface width of 18 m; asphalt concrete permeable road surface structure on crushed stone aggregate layers, with a total project investment of about 264,998 billion VND, using central support capital and provincial budget capital. The project was granted an investment decision by the Provincial People's Committee, Ham Thuan Bac District People's Committee is the project investor. The project construction site is located in Ma Lam town and Ham Duc commune, Ham Thuan Bac district, with a land use area of ​​about 17.1 hectares. The implementation period is 4 years, in the period 2021-2025 and transition to the period 2026-2030.
