Appearing in the show Sweet Memories , singer Long Nhat attracted attention when he shared his thoughts about his career on television.
Long Nhat confided that although he was not born into a musical family, he had a strong love for music since he was young. However, the male singer did not receive support from his family.
He said: " My family is a family of scholars, 3 generations of high-ranking officials, so education is very important. My father is a literature and history teacher, so he often welcomes artist groups to perform at the school. My father is haunted by the fact that being an artist is very hard, so he always warns us. In my parents' mind, this profession is not easy to work on, but the money is gone. Artists are flighty and do not know how to calculate, so my father is afraid that when he gets old, no one will take care of him."

The male singer said he was accepted into the Hai Dang troupe in Nha Trang after finishing 12th grade. Even though he passed the university entrance exam, he was still sad because he wanted to sing. Although his parents objected many times, Long Nhat was still determined to pursue art because "singing is truly living".
During his artistic career, Long Nhat also encountered a health problem that affected his singing voice. The male singer revealed that he was very sick, had water in his lungs, and had to be hospitalized for a whole year in the US. When he was discharged from the hospital to practice singing again, he could not sing normally.
"At that time, I had very foolish thoughts that life was worse than death, if I couldn't sing, then life wouldn't be fun. However, love, luck and good things were still there when I could sing again. After the illness, I returned to Vietnam and was still welcomed by the audience. That made me very happy and joyful," he confided.
Long Nhat is a singer known to many through sentimental songs. He started his singing career in 1989. Having been in the arts for many years, Long Nhat has been of interest to audiences not only in his music career but also in his personal life. He has been married for 24 years to his wife. They have 4 biological children and 1 adopted child.
