Officially launched on September 21, 2022, after nearly 1 year of implementation, SIC 2022 - 2023 has been deployed in 33 schools in 12 provinces and cities across the country, including secondary schools, high schools, colleges and universities, providing opportunities for high-tech training and development for more than 3,200 students (collectively referred to as trainees) and teachers nationwide.

Specifically, more than 2,400 students participated in the basic programming skills course, more than 200 students participated in the Internet of Things course, more than 300 students participated in the artificial intelligence course, and 50 students were trained in big data.

To enhance sustainability in implementation, the project also organized training courses for more than 200 teachers, supporting the improvement of professional and pedagogical capacity as well as supplementing practical teaching skills.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Van Dat, Acting Director of the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs (Ministry of Education and Training), shared: SIC is one of the very effective and practical programs. Through the call for cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Training, there are many different programs but it can be said that this is the program that is evaluated as the most practical and effective.

Mr. Tran Van Dat, Acting Director of the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs (Ministry of Education and Training), shared at the SIC 2022 - 2023 closing ceremony.

"We implemented it very systematically, first training teachers, then teachers themselves trained their students. Not all students can meet the requirements, they have to pass an exam, it's a bit difficult to say an exam, but you have to pass a test to be able to participate in this project.

We hope that the education sector will receive support and companionship from Samsung and JA to continue implementing this program every year. On the part of the Ministry of Education and Training, we promise that we will accompany and create the best conditions for Samsung and JA to implement the projects in the best way," Mr. Dat emphasized.

From the perspective of a student participating in SIC 2022 - 2023, Nguyen Vinh Huy, a student at Duy Tan University, shared: "As a student majoring in big data and machine learning, I understand that data is the lifeblood of this era, all theories are just dry words if not applied in practice.

During the SIC training program, in addition to the slides designed according to each topic in a very scientific way, we were also supported with a standard practice environment. In particular, we received the opportunity to intern at SRV (Samsung Research and Development Center - PV)".

Speaking at the event, Mr. Choi Joo Ho, General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex, said: "Samsung is implementing many diverse activities to support young people, helping them build and master a more beautiful world.

Samsung will also try its best, not only as the largest FDI enterprise in Vietnam, the enterprise contributing the largest export in Vietnam, but also as the enterprise making the most effort in training technology talents in Vietnam".

SIC was officially launched globally in 2019. This is one of Samsung's typical social responsibility programs and has expanded to 33 countries worldwide such as the US, Germany, Spain, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand...

In Vietnam, the program has been implemented since 2019. After 5 years, the program has provided courses to about 6,021 Vietnamese youth and about 389 teachers. To date, the project has expanded to about 40 schools and 20 provinces and cities nationwide.
