(Dan Tri) - The constant change in technology brings a new look to the country, in which the key factor is people. To have high-quality human resources, technology businesses need to work together.
To make a breakthrough, high quality human resources are needed.
On January 13, at the National Conference on Breakthroughs in Science, Technology, Innovation and National Digital Transformation, the Politburo affirmed the particularly important role of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, clearly identifying this as a top-notch breakthrough, the main driving force for rapidly developing modern productive forces, perfecting production relations, innovating national governance methods, developing the socio-economy, preventing the risk of falling behind, and bringing the country to breakthrough development and prosperity in the new era.
Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation emphasizes that every breakthrough must start with people, with the goal of improving the quality of human resources to serve the digital economy.
In recent years, efforts to improve the quality of technology human resources are no longer the sole concern of the Government and all levels of government, but are also part of the social responsibility commitments of the world's leading technology companies present in the Vietnamese market.
Mr. Choi Joo Ho, General Director of Samsung Vietnam, once said: "Along with the policies of the Vietnamese Government, schools and global enterprises like Samsung are making efforts to train human resources in the fields of IT and semiconductors."
Bright spot in the picture of high quality human resource training
Playing an important role in training and fostering technological capacity for young people, projects such as Samsung's Samsung Innovation Campus become a bright spot in the picture of promoting high-quality technological human resources for the future.
With the ideal of a young generation of Vietnam with outstanding technological capabilities, SIC focuses on training in emerging technology fields that are having great influence such as: C&P programming, AI, Big Data, IoT... Since its launch in 2019, more than 12,000 students and teachers have been trained and developed high-tech capabilities from the Samsung Innovation Campus project.
Many students have given positive feedback on the results achieved after the program. For example, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, a 12th grade student at Ly Nhan Tong High School in Bac Ninh, participated in the basic Python programming course in 2024. Ngan said that the course opened up a lot of interesting knowledge when applying programming to solve real-life problems, going from simple to complex.
"The first success after the course was when participating in the Innovation Tech Challenge this year, my team was able to assemble and program the robot by themselves as well as fix any errors that arose," Ngan said.
Or Nguyen Vinh Huy - a former student of Duy Tan University said: "The courses are all designed very systematically and flexibly so that learners can adapt them to their own applications. For me, 2 weeks of practical training at Samsung Vietnam's Research Center can be considered equivalent to 1 year of studying algorithms at school. After finishing the course, we were confident in conquering difficult algorithms that we had only seen in competitions before."
The Samsung Innovation Campus 2024 - 2025 project has just been officially launched by Samsung Vietnam, with an expected number of 6,600 students being trained and developing high-tech capacity in the 2024 - 2025 school year.
Within the framework of the SIC 2024 - 2025 project, the training content is restructured to improve the quality of learning and be more suitable to the actual implementation situation. This is also the first school year that the project organizes extracurricular activities such as business visits and final programming exams to inspire passion for technology and increase learning motivation for students, thereby realizing the commitment to accompany the development of Vietnam.
In addition to the SIC program, Samsung Vietnam also implements many other technology talent training programs, typically the Solve for Tomorrow program implemented in Vietnam since 2019, which not only provides students with the opportunity to apply STEM education knowledge related to the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics but also nurtures the ability to access technology and create solutions to solve social problems.
Along with that, the project "Training candidates to participate in the World Skills Competition" contributed to bringing many high achievements to Vietnam; the STEM Membership program searches for and trains excellent high school students in the field of science in countries, aiming to create future technology human resources.
Or the project of sponsoring Samsung Lab classrooms and supporting education for a number of universities to create conditions for students to access modern information technology knowledge; Awarding Samsung talent scholarships and internship opportunities at the Research and Development Center of Samsung Vietnam...
