(NLDO) - Sharing an article on his personal Facebook page introducing a gambling website, a young man in Ninh Binh was fined 5 million VND.
On January 25, news from Ninh Binh Provincial Police said that the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention of the Provincial Police coordinated with the Inspectorate of Ninh Binh Department of Information and Communications to work with Le Dai Lam (born 2000, residing in Van Phu commune, Nho Quan district) to clarify the act of "Providing and sharing fabricated information, causing panic among the people, inciting violence, crimes, social evils, gambling or serving gambling".

Previously, through investigation, the authorities determined that Le Dai Lam used his personal phone number to register a Facebook account under the name "Le Dai Lam", then posted and shared articles on his personal Facebook page with the content introducing a website that organizes gambling, gambling in the form of card games for rewards.
During the process of working with the authorities, Le Dai Lam admitted his violations.
Pursuant to the provisions of Decree No. 15 dated February 3, 2020; Decree No. 14/2022 dated January 27, 2022 of the Government stipulating administrative sanctions in the fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology, network information security and electronic transactions, the competent authority of Ninh Binh province has issued a decision to impose an administrative fine of VND 5 million on Le Dai Lam, forcing him to remove the information and commit not to repeat the offense.
